What is new in 0.1.1

Requirements

  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Zeku uses Microsoft Edge WebView2, which Windows 11 already has. On Windows 10 the installer fetches it if it is missing.
  • An Astro project with content collections for the full experience. Running astro sync or astro dev once gives Zeku the richest field types. Any other folder of markdown opens too.
  • Git on your PATH, for publishing.
  • Node and your project's dependencies installed, for site preview. Zeku uses whichever of pnpm, npm, yarn, or bun the project uses.

No account, and no internet needed to write. Zeku goes online only to check for updates, to activate a license, and for stock photo searches you start.

macOS and Linux

Not yet. Zeku is built on Tauri and Rust, which run on both, but it has not been tested on either and it will not ship there until it has. There is no date to promise, so there is not one here.
