Tested on the Astro themes people use.

Notes

1. 1

Astrofy. Post addresses come from titles behind a setting Zeku doesn't read, so cards link to the file names.

2. 2

Openblog. Posts require a category from a list its config imports from another file, so a new post starts with the field empty and marked as required, and every blog page answers an error until it has one.

3. 3

Typography. Its schema measures a banner before Astro has read the image, so it rejects every local banner, the theme's own included, and a pasted one fails the build.

4. 4

Astro Ink. Its lockfile pins Astro 4.0, whose dev server shows an image added to public/ only after a restart.

5. 5

Tailcast. Posts need an author with a photo before they build. Zeku leaves those fields for you to fill in.

6. 6

Astro Theme Resume. Descriptions must be 50 to 160 characters, so a new post needs one before it builds.

7. 7

AntfuStyle. One example image is made by an endpoint, which Zeku shows as missing.

8. 8

Astro Modular. The theme copies images into public/ when its dev server starts, so one pasted while the preview runs shows after a restart.

9. 9

Stardrive. Integration pages are at /integration/<type>/<name>, with the type read from each page, and Zeku leaves the type out of their addresses.

10. 10

Play Astro. Posts require sections of text only you can write, so a new post builds once they are filled in.

11. 11

AnvilWiki. Descriptions must be 40 to 165 characters, so a new page needs one before it builds.

12. 12

Spectre. Its dev server stops until Giscus comments are set up with real values, so the preview could not be tested.

13. 13

DataNova. Its articles are Markdoc (.mdoc) files, which Zeku doesn't edit yet.

14. 14

RyuChan. The site runs only after its build script pulls in a separate content repository, so the preview could not be tested.

15. 15

Astro Design System. Its Astro 1.0 beta doesn't run on Node 24, so the preview could not be tested.

16. 16

Astro Cactus (Chinese). Its dev server needs GitHub sign-in secrets before it starts, so the preview could not be tested.

17. 17

Astro Rocket. Six of its seven sample projects are placeholders the theme gives no page, which Zeku still shows an address for.

18. 18

Astrogon. Its Elements docs page fails under astro dev with the Cloudflare adapter (require is not defined), so that one card answers with an error.

19. 19

Revista. Its CV page at /cv/ is drawn from an exported HTML file, so the CV collection's entry has no page of its own, though Zeku gives it an address.

20. 20

Simple Blog. Its Astro version doesn't run on Node 24, so the preview could not be tested.

21. 21

Starlight Obsidian. The demo site installs the theme through a Bun workspace (workspace:*), and Bun was not on the test machine, so the preview could not be tested.

22. 22

Zaggonaut. Card images must be full web addresses, so an image you paste in can't be one, and Zeku flags it the way the build does.

23. 23

Momo. Each post is a folder of language files, and Zeku keeps the file's name in its address.

24. 24

Astro Minecraft. Its Astro 1 does not process images in Markdown, so an image pasted beside a page does not load until it is moved to public/.

25. 25

flo-bit Blog Template. Its own image component reads heroImage from src/assets, and with no post giving a cover to learn from, a pasted cover goes into public/images, so a new post with a cover answers an error until it points into src/assets. Frontmatter image folder in Settings > Content sets that.

26. 26

Astro Minimal Starter. Its Astro 1.1.5 fails every page with TypeError: Invalid URL on Node 24, so the preview could not be tested here.

27. 27

Astro Spaceship. The astro-spaceship package serves its pages at the site root, /welcome/ for vault/Welcome.md, and Zeku gives them /vault/ addresses. Its dev server stops until the values its .env.schema asks for are set, so the preview could not be tested.

28. 28

Astro Big Doc. Its pages come from the content-structure package, which serves a folder's readme.md at the folder, where Zeku gives it an address of its own, and reads the content folder only when its dev server starts, so a new page answers 404 in the running preview until the server restarts.

29. 29

Astro CV Esquelete. Its date fields hold text like 1990 - Present, so cards show no date.

30. 30

Advanced Astro i18n. Posts require a permalink and a mappingKey that pairs translations, so a new post builds once both are filled in.

31. 31

Astro i18n Starter (Scorpio3310). Its posts are served at /blog/<slug> and /sl/spletni-dnevnik/<slug> from a table in its route, which Zeku does not read, so its cards, a new post's address and the preview point at /en/ and /sl/ addresses that answer 404.

32. 32

AC Site Template. Its blog, notes and projects make slugs from titles behind GENERATE_SLUG_FROM_TITLE, which Zeku does not follow, so their cards link to addresses made from file names. Its dev script sets NODE_OPTIONS the way macOS and Linux shells do, which Windows cannot run, so the preview could not be tested here.

33. 33

Chirping Astro. Descriptions are required and cannot be empty, so a new post builds once it has one.

34. 34

Monakit. A course's page is at its folder, drawn from the toc.md inside it, and Zeku gives that file an address of its own.

35. 35

Stellar. Every doc page must be listed in its sidebar config, and until a new page is, the English docs answer with an error.

36. 36

Astro Sienna. Descriptions must be 10 to 160 characters, so a new post builds once it has one.

37. 37

Starfolio. Its middleware sends X-Frame-Options: DENY with every page, which keeps any frame from showing the site, Zeku's preview included, so the preview stays blank and the site opens only in a browser. The same middleware fails on images Astro serves from its cache, so a local image shows the first time and breaks after.

38. 38

Astro Charm. Its pages are routes the astro-charm package adds, which Zeku does not read, so its special pages get addresses under /specials/ rather than at the site root, and the ::: blocks its package renders are underlined.

39. 39

Naid. Posts require an author from its authors collection, which Zeku leaves for you to choose, so a new post builds once it has one.

40. 40

AstroPie. Its Astro 6.0 dev server serves a page added to src/pages only after a restart, so a new page answers 404 in the running preview.

41. 41

Astro Base. Its Astro 6.0 dev server serves a page added to src/pages only after a restart, so a new page answers 404 in the running preview.

42. 42

Astro Dracula Blog. Posts are served at /<language>/posts/<slug>, and Zeku gives them /posts/<language>/<slug>. Starting its dev server through its pinned pnpm reinstalled its packages and then printed nothing for a minute, so the preview could not be tested here.

43. 43

Nimbus Narratives. Covers must be at least 1080 pixels wide, so a new post with a smaller cover, like the test image, does not build.

44. 44

Astro Cloudflare Starter. Its lockfile has no Windows build of rolldown, so its dev server stops before the preview here.

45. 45

Astro Landing Page. Its dev script sets NODE_ENV the way macOS and Linux shells do, which Windows cannot run, so the preview could not be tested here.

46. 46

Astro Panda. Its install leaves out a package UnoCSS needs, so its dev server stops before the preview.

47. 47

Sarissa Blog Astro Starter. Its Astro 1.0 beta does not run on Node 24, so the preview could not be tested.

48. 48

Astro Sidey. Its home page comes from pages/home.mdx, which its own route serves at the site root, and Zeku gives it /home/.

49. 49

Cooper. Its i18n routing puts the default language in every address, under which Astro answers 404 for its docs route, which has no language in front.

50. 50

Astro Starter Template. Descriptions are required and cannot be empty, so a new post builds once it has one.

51. 51

SH Blog Next. Its config needs a real site address in .env before its dev server starts, so the preview could not be tested.

52. 52

Astro Ataraxia. Posts need at least one tag, so a new post builds once it has one.

53. 53

Monograph. Posts require an author object, which a new post leaves for you to fill in, so it builds once it has one.

54. 54

Morethan Log Astro. Its pages are served through its own page helper, which Zeku does not follow, so the about pages get addresses the site does not have, and its math is drawn in the browser by a script, so Zeku underlines it though the page shows it.

55. 55

Nayuta. Its pages are served at the site root through its own helper, which Zeku does not follow, so their addresses get /pages/ in front.

56. 56

Astro Iris. It is made for Bun, and installed with npm its Typst integration cannot find cheerio, so the preview could not be tested here.

What each check covers

Opening

Opening the project lands on the content folder the theme uses, and writes nothing to the project.

Collections

Every collection in content.config.ts appears, each with its own folder.

Field mapping

The title, date, description, tags, draft and cover fields are found under whatever names the theme gives them.

Frontmatter editing

Each field gets an editor that fits its schema, and the theme's own pages pass the build check.

Dashboard cards

Cards show the right cover and date, and each card's address loads that page on the theme's dev server.

New entries

A new entry lands in the collection's folder with frontmatter that passes the theme's own astro sync.

Image paste

A pasted image is described first, saved where the theme keeps its images, and linked in a form the page loads.

Site preview

Zeku starts the theme's own dev server and shows the page being edited.

Live preview

The editor renders what the site renders: no stray tags, broken images or diagrams, and no syntax marked unsupported that the site supports.

SEO audit

The SEO audit runs on the theme's pages and its collections.

No errors

Nothing throws or logs an error while working in the theme.
