These terms cover the Zeku desktop app and this website. They are written to be read. By downloading or using Zeku, you agree to them.

The trial

Every download includes a 14-day free trial with every feature. After it ends, a paid license keeps Zeku working. Zeku is young software and can have bugs. Keep your work in git, as you would anyway, and report problems so they get fixed.

Your license

A paid license lets you use Zeku under these terms:

• Founding and standard licenses are for one person, on up to 3 computers they use.
• Agency licenses cover the number of seats purchased, for work on any number of client sites.
• A license covers every release in the major version you bought, for as long as you like. It includes 12 months of updates. After that you can keep using the last version your license covered, or renew for more updates.
• You may not resell, share, or publish license keys, or remove or work around the license check.

Your content

Everything you write with Zeku is yours. Zeku edits files on your computer and claims no rights to them.

Refunds

If Zeku is not right for you, email within 30 days of your purchase for a full refund. Refunded licenses are deactivated.

No warranty

Zeku is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It works hard not to lose your work, with autosave, crash recovery, and outside-edit detection, but you are responsible for keeping backups of anything that matters, which is what git is for.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to Zeku is limited to the amount you paid for your license. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost data or lost profits.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version always lives at this address with its date. Changes never take away rights you already paid for.
